Like many of you, I have had to say goodbye to friends and family over my lifetime. Significantly my dad died when I was just 16 and in 2009 my husband Peter died and I was widowed with our 4 children. Peter's funeral was my first attempt at designing a life celebration. Our children were creatively involved in the ceremony and I'm convinced that in the long term it helped them to cope with the loss of their wonderful dad.
I'm left with a sense of rightness in the way that we honored Peter's life, my children have flourished and grown into happy, balanced teenagers and young adults. Truthfully, I don't believe that we ever 'get over' losing someone dear to us. I do believe that it is possible to find a place of peace inside — a sacred place in our heart for our loved one. This takes as much time as it takes. Today I'm happily married and together we raise our 6 children.
I am accredited with Certificate IV in Funeral Celebrancy. I am also a professional actor, writer and producer. I have been a Master of Ceremony at various conferences and events.
It is an honour and a privelige to walk by your side and support your family at this very tender time. Together I will guide you to create a beautiful Life Celebration for your loved one.
At the heart of it all, I'm here to help.
